Set out early for downtown. Walked a good distance and then jumped on a tram. Walked up the downtown, saw the gorgeous but expensive shops, the exciting ring street with the airline companies and travel agencies. Ate lunch just in front of the opera. Had dinner up the street from St. Stephen's Platz. Took the tram back to the hostel and listed to a girl from Boston strumming the guitar.
